On January 30th my daughter called from Ottawa and said, “Congratulations Grandma” Jacob Michael Cole had arrived six and a half weeks early. Initially all seemed well, but problems soon surfaced. He required Intensive care and was put on a ventilator, IV, feeding tubes and all kinds of monitors. An x-ray revealed a collapsed right lung. Little Jacob was diagnosed with Kartageners syndrome, which among other problems presents decreased respiratory function. Lots of care and much prayer finally resulted in him being discharged into the care of his loving parents yesterday (February 17 2009)
We’re told Jacob will have to have chest therapy every day for the rest of his life. I’ve probably shared this with you, but I’m praying that God would breathe into that tiny little nostril His breath of life and restore the cilia that line the respiratory track so they will function properly. Will you agree with me?
Blessings,
Mary
